Welcome to Mosaic Chapel’s Benevolence Fund. We are glad that you are reaching out in your time of need. We realize asking for help during challenging times in life can be really hard. Hebrews 13:16 says “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” We believe in God’s Word and have a deep desire to bless and help those in need. This is an important connection – you have a need and we have the desire to help.

Our heart is to help everyone and fulfill every need we can, but that is not always possible. With that in mind, we have a specific plan that was developed to get to know you, identify your need, prayerfully consider the best way to help, and develop a plan to both help you through this difficult time, and also equip you with the tools that will help you to succeed moving forward. We will both have work to do, it isn’t hard but it will require dedication and a willingness to be honest with where you are, and a desire to move in a positive direction. This process is described below.

As a team working together for your benefit, there will never be any judgment on your current situation or how you got there. But to truly help you, there has to be an honest evaluation to develop a plan for success moving forward. As I said, we want to help you through your current struggle and meet immediate needs, while ultimately seeing you succeed and flourish for years to come.
Pastor Shon Ramey – Benevolence Fund

Process for Receiving Help

1. Contact Pastor Shon Ramey at shon@mosaicchapel.org.

Please share with Shon the nature of your need. He’ll get back to you shortly with any questions or to set up a phone call.

2. Fill out a Benevolence Application.

Once a person contacts Shon, he will send you a Benevolence Application. As a church plant, we are still a ministry of Faith Chapel in Billings, so we use the same form they do. The form includes basic family information, your job situation, your financial need and a budget sheet.

3. Meet via phone or Zoom with Shon to review your application.

Our goal is two-fold: help people with their immediate needs while supporting a plan for longer term sustainability. When we’re in crisis, it can be hard to see a way out. Shon will help people identify areas they might be able to adjust to help their limited funds stretch further. This also helps to assess the best way we can help with your needs.

4. The application is reviewed by our Benevolence Team.

This ensures that each need is considered fairly. In addition, our Benevolence Team prays for each individual or family.

5. The application is submitted to Faith Chapel for payment.

We cannot give people cash or write a check to an individual. Instead, we pay bills directly. It can take a few days to a week to process a check, so please start the process early enough so we can do our best to help you as quickly as possible.

The Bible encourages us to carry one another’s burdens and to love each other as Christ loved us. (Galatians 6:2, John 13:34) Thank you for giving us the opportunity to support and help you. We are committed to helping people through this crisis. We are in this together!

If you would like to help others by giving to the Benevolence Fund, you can do so by simply giving to Mosaic Chapel. In addition to the $2000 each month designated for this fund, everything given above our budget will go to the Benevolence Fund. The more that is given, the more we’ll be able to give to help people.
